Tonight: Free Yellow Submarine kicks off Proctors' animation fest ...

The third annual Animation Festival at Proctors GE Theatre starts Monday and runs through Sunday, Aug. 19.

A free kick-off screening of The Beatles? ?Yellow Submarine? will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.

Films being screened include ?The Adventures of Tintin,? ?A Cat in Paris,? ?Chico & Rita? (intended for adults), ?Chocolate Underground,? ?Happy Feet Two,? ?The Last Unicorn,? ?The Lorax,? ?Mia and the Migoo,? ?Oscar Nominated Animated Shorts,? and ?Summer Wars.?

On Saturday, the ?It Came from Schenectady? crew will host a family-friendly celebration with ?Transformers: The Movie? (1986).

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for 17 and younger.

A weeklong festival passport is $20 and is available Monday only.
